Bachata Workshop with MamboJaz

We are bringing Bachata to York, PA! If you enjoyed our NY Salsa Workshops in December and January, you won't want to miss this. This workshop will focus on the foundations of Bachata movement, emphasizing both partnered and solo work in an environment that is fun, enthusiastic, and paced for success. You do not need a partner and experience is helpful, but not necessary. We encourage you to sign up for these at any level because Saturday, March 25th will kick off our second Latin dance social!

Jasmin will be providing music and lesson for the upcoming Latin socials. She has an infectious, dancing spirit and we look forward to welcoming her talented family in York.

About Jasmin Rodriguez Pantoja:

A Bronx born native, Jasmin has trained in a variety of dance styles consisting of Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip-Hop, African, Afro-Cuban, Modern and Salsa since the tender age of 9. She discovered her passion for Latin dance taking NY style mambo on 2, Bachata, Merengue, Reggaeton, Cha Cha and Tango! She began taking classes with the King and Queen of NY Mambo, Eddie and Maria Torres at the Kips Bay Boys and Girls Club in the Bronx. After years of training under Maria and being a part of the Kips Bay Junior, then Senior Dance Company, she was later invited by Eddie to become one of the first members of the Eddie Torres Junior Dance Company, which made its debut at Madison Square Garden in 1995. During her dance career she was able to perform at the NY Puerto Rican Day Parade every year for 5 years in front of the Goya float and for the legendary Tito Puente and Bobby Rodriguez y la Compania! Dance at hundreds of festivals, schools, amusement parks and venues all over the tri-state area. She has continued to do private lessons and choreography for special events. Recently, she directed the Latinx portion of the One World Festival in Lancaster with her dance troupe the Mambojaz Dancers. She currently teaches at Move It! Studio Lancaster.
